HOW TO RECOGNIZE SERIOUS SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF DOLL MAKING ADDICTIONS !!

IF YOUR NAILS ARE ALWAYS "PAINTED" AND NOT BECAUSE YOU JUST HAD A MANICURE. LADIES, YA KNOW WHAT I MEAN !!
YOU ALWAYS HAVE A BOWL OF COFFEE READY TO MAKE YOUR DOLLS LOOK OLD AND AGED.
YOUR COUNTER TOPS IN YOUR KITCHEN ARE COFFEE STAINED .
YOU PANIC WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE ONE BAG OF " STUFF AND FLUFF" ( STUFFING)
YOUR ROOTS OF YOUR HAIR ARE LIKE AN INCH LONG AND YOU NO LONGER FIX YOUR HAIR OR MAKE UP.
YOU HAVE A MINI-SWEAT SHOP GOING ON....I.E. YOUR KIDS STUFF BODY PARTS FOR YA..
YOU BUY MUSLIN 10 YARDS AT A TIME
ANYTIME YOU GO TO THE FABRIC STORE YOU SPEND A MINIMUM OF $ 50.00
YOU LOSE SLEEP AT NIGHT BECAUSE YOU ARE THINKING OF ALL THE GREAT PRIMITIVE IDEAS YOU HAVE FOR DOLLS
YOU BUY PATTERNS ALMOST ON A DAILY BASIS..
YOUR HOUSE IS A MESS.. LAUNDRY PILED UP. YOUR FLOOR IS IN NEED OF SOME SERIOUS VACUUMING FROM ALL THE THREADS ON THE FLOOR.
YOUR FAMILY SUFFERS GREATLY NOW BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER GET HOME COOKED MEALS. THE ONLY COOKING YOU ARE DOING IS DOLLS TO AGE THEM.
YOUR EYES START TO TWITCH IF YOU DID NOT MAKE A DOLL THAT DAY
IF YOU ONLY MADE ONE DOLL IN ONE DAY YOU STILL FEEL LIKE YOU DID NOT ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING.

ALL THESE ARE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF A SERIOUS DOLL MAKING ADDICTION.
IF YOU HAVE ONE OR ALL OF THESE .. SEEK HELP RIGHT AWAY.!! GET TO THE NEAREST SEWING MACHINE AND MAKE A DOLL
GIVE ALL YOUR CREDIT CARDS TO YOUR HUSBAND !!!

LOL - oh these are good ones ! I use to make dolls - in the days before my websites/graphics - I loved the little characters I created , I was so proud of them! I sold a few on ebay and then my websites started taking off and I havent made a doll now in over 6 years!

I wish I had the talent to do dolls!!
I love them! I have one that is over 100 years old that belonged to my great grandmother. I would not part with it for a million bucks! Kim

Thanks, Kim:
What a treasure.. I once "resurrected" a love worn Raggedy for a lady whose Grandmother had made this doll for her.. It was over fifty years old and had seen some better days.. I used as close to the original fabric as I could find.. The lady loved it and vowed to keep it and pass it down to her children and grandchildren.. What a thrill to make her " like new" again.

Why not show us a picture of your hundred year old doll.. I'm sure everyone would enjoy seeing it.. I know I would. Thanks for sharing.

Maurine,

Once the holidays are over, I would be more than happy to take a picture and post it.
I LOVED raggady Ann!!!!! My favorite doll growing up was the Miss Beasley doll. I wish I still had it. I would love to find one someday.
